HOUSTON, Texas – Three suspects involved in a fatal shooting that took place at 5901 Selinsky Road on May 18 are now in custody.

One of the suspects, Mariah Corinthian Green, 20, was arrested on Monday, July 10. The second suspect, Quitiana Rene Taylor, 21, was arrested on July 3. The third suspect, Jarrell Tavon Wheeler, 21, was taken into custody on June 29. All three are charged with capital murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 228th State District Court.

A fourth suspect, Jamal Ray Brown, 21, who was wanted and charged in connection with the shooting, was fatally shot by Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies while they were serving a warrant for his arrest at 706 North Ella Creek Drive on Wednesday, July 12.

These suspects are charged in connection to the murder of Otis Parker Jr., 35.

Upon receiving a shooting call, Houston Police Department patrol officers discovered Mr. Parker in an unresponsive state in the driver’s seat of a vehicle in an apartment complex parking lot at the aforementioned address. The vehicle appeared to have been involved in a crash. There was also an uninjured female passenger in the vehicle. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced Parker deceased at the scene due to at least one gunshot wound.

Further investigation led to the identification of all four suspects. They were charged on June 27 and warrants were subsequently issued for their arrests.
