HOUSTON, July 19, 2023 – A 22-year-old Houston woman, Alexis Aaliyah Shannon, was arrested on July 17, 2023, on charges of misdemeanor theft. According to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, Shannon allegedly unlawfully acquired and exercised control over various items. The items, including three containers of gummies, two bottles of eye and lash serum, and eleven tubes of toothpaste, are estimated to be valued between one hundred and seven hundred fifty dollars. The property is owned by a local resident who has filed a complaint against Shannon. Authorities believe the theft was intended to deprive the owner of their property. Shannon is due for her first court appearance on July 24, 2023, at the Harris County Criminal Court at Law No. 6. Further details regarding the bail and other legal proceedings are pending.
