Suspect Charged in Fatal Shooting at Hornwood Drive, Still at Large

HOUSTON, Texas, Sept. 6, 2023 – Charges have been filed against 30-year-old Joshua Zimmerman, also known by the alias Vincent Guerino Juliano, in connection with the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old woman. The incident occurred at 6868 Hornwood Drive around 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, September 2. Zimmerman is charged with murder in the 183rd State District Court and is not currently in custody. A surveillance photo of the suspect has been released.

The identity of the deceased woman is pending notification to family by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. Patrol officers responded to a report of a deceased woman at a motel at the specified address. The victim was found inside a motel room with at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics.

Further investigation revealed that the room was rented to both the victim and Zimmerman. Witnesses reported hearing screams from the room before a gunshot was heard. Zimmerman was seen leaving the location alone shortly after.
